The Use of Informal Learning in the Resocialization of Convicts in Open Prison Conditions

In recent years, thanks to international conventions and the humanization of prisons, great importance has been attributed education individuals serving prison sentences. However, not every prisoner can undertake formal non-formal educational activities. That is due, for example, a low sentence or lack capacity. Therefore, possibility application informal learning self-education opens up. This study examines possibilities anew innovative in Czech conditions, which, through specific environment change approaches, influences convicts prepares them life after release. The research investigation was carried out qualitative form, using semi-structured interviews focused on: a) perception sentences, b) influence an open on learning, c) their preparation total, sixteen men sentences participated investigation, grounded theory used analyse data obtained. From results, we conclude that respondents perceive differences approaches conditions prison. Specifically, better social climate allowed focus more self-development different areas. results confirm regular facilities are incentive-poor, encounter several problems fundamentally learning. highlights these prisons context resocialization reintegration efficiency.
